TECNO Cricket Superstar
Pakistanis can’t have enough of TikTok nowadays, and then there is the love for cricket! TECNO smartly mixed the best of both worlds in their cricket superstar campaign. The marketing campaign on TikTok officially launched with a TVC that starred Pakistan’s hottest cricket stars, Hassan Ali and Shoaib Akhtar.
The cricket stars showed their bowling skills in the ad, and asked the viewers to get their game on on TikTok. In a sample video, Shoaib Akhtar showed his famous bowling celebration, asking people to imitate it in the most creative way. You had to swish and turn into a cricket avatar, while the campaign tune played in the background.

To participate in the competition, users had to follow the following steps:
- Open Tik Tok, go to discover and find #Cricketsuperstar hashtag (it was trending)
- Open the official video of the challenge and click on “TECNO STAR” music tune to record the musical video
- Take a Magical Spin, change from a regular outfit to cricket outfit and follow the signature style of Shoaib Akhtar on the beats
- Upload the video on your TikTok profile with “TECNO#cricketsuperstar”
- Participants with the highest number of likes had chances of winning Tecno Mobiles
The winners were announced in early January. However, you can still find the videos by typing #cricketsuperstar in the search bar on TikTok. Top TikTok influencer dictated the moves as well, and made the campaign go viral on TikTok and all other social media platforms.
